Postoperative swelling after a rhinoplasty

Swelling after a rhinoplasty may take up to a year to fully resolve with most of the swelling being present in the first 2-3 months.  Depending on the the type of rhinoplasty (for instance a closed versus open rhinoplasty) and the changes made during the surgery, the length of postoperative swelling may vary.  There are different treatments and noninvasive means of helping with decreasing postoperative swelling.
