Gravity is not getting a holiday card from us this year. That’s because, when it comes to beauty, gravity is not our friend. Gravity, of course, gives us a lot of wonderful things like being able to dance and stay on the planet in general, but why does gravity have to pull so much when it comes to the skin on our faces? If you’re tired of gravity pulling on your face and looking for a solution, keep reading to learn more about our facelift procedure.
Who is a good candidate for a facelift?
Age brings a bevy of changes. Our skin shows these changes even when we don’t want it to! Wrinkles stop disappearing so quickly, and they even deepen into permanent lines in our faces. We also lose elasticity in the skin, so our faces may suddenly droop.
Facelift surgery can help reverse some of these serious signs of aging, and the results are far more longer lasting than Botox or fillers.
If you are bothered by sagging skin or deep wrinkles, then a facelift may be the best present you can get yourself this holiday season.
How long until I can go back to work?
Two weeks is usually a good amount of time to take off work for most patients, though some return to work sooner than that. Understanding your body and its ability to heal can help you judge how much time you’ll need, though we always recommend taking off more time than you think you may need.
When can I start exercising again?
We recommend that you rest and stay away from the gym for around three weeks after your facelift procedure. Your physician will keep up with you and discuss with you when you are ready to resume exercise. Allowing your body to heal properly before resuming exercise can prevent complications and keep the healing process optimal.
How much will it cost?
A facelift may vary in price depending on your concerns and other individual factors. Please get in touch to learn more.
