I can finally breathe out of my nose! A punch to the face in middle school left me with a severely deviated septum. I'm 6 weeks post-op and I feel absolutely fantastic. I met with 4 surgeons before deciding to work with Dr. Lin and I'm quite happy with the decision. I saw Dr. Lin after having a bad experience with another surgeon years ago . My original surgery was to fix a severe deviated septum / rhinoplasty. The original surgeon took too much cartilage out in the process, causing more breathing issues and the tip of my nose to look unnatural / deformed. After living with the issues for 10 years, I finally decided to see Dr. Lin and I am so glad I did. Hew was able to use cartilage from my ear to fix the interior of my nose and its appearance. I couldn't be happier, and finally feel like myself again! He was able to clearly explain the process to me, and followed up periodically after the surgery to make sure everything healed correctly.

My name is Pedro and i'm on my early 30s. I was 300 Pounds 2 year ago and now i am 160 pounds. i got the gastric Sleeve procedure and it changed my life. 2 years later i was approved for a Panniculectomy and i loved the results. Last summer I made the decision to have septoplasmy. I am an active 55 yo woman and was struggling breathing through my nose - I was a mouth breather, especially when I was sleeping. It was a lifestyle choice but I canceled it three times because I was nervous. I had heard it was a difficult recovery but the final decision came after a hike last summer where I was so restricted through my nostrils and was panting terribly. I had enough. I have my surgery on 8/5/22 and then entire staff at Dr. Lina was amazing, as was the hospital staff. It was still pandemic restrictions so I was alone but everyone was attentive and informative. Surgery went well. But I am not going to lie. The first week after is terrible. When they said “you will be uncomfortable”, it’s an understatement. You can’t breathe through nose, must sneeze with mouth open (for a month), had to sleep upright for two weeks and I was just uncomfortable. I was a healthy fit woman and so I thought I would sail through and be back working from home in a few days. No. I needed a full week off and for the first four was extremely uncomfortable. It was pain (after first couple days). Just extreme discomfort. I went back after a week to get my splints out and immediately felt better. I continued with the nasal irrigation, wasn’t taking any meds (only did for three days) but it was still slow recovery. I needed a good month until I felt better. I am now 6 months out and it was the best decision I made I don’t snore. I have full ope airways and it’s changed my world. I would highly recommend doing it but definitely have help and be ready to be very uncomfortable for a full 7-10 days. Once you get through that, you will be so happy Go for it!!! These photos are day of, two days post op and 10 days post op. One year later, I am feeling fantastic. I have full breathing capacity in both nostrils; no longer am a mouth breather (especially at night). I am a fitness instructor and this has been life changing. I highly recommend this procedure with Dr. Lin. He is caring, kind and obviously an amazing surgeon!

Working with Dr. Lin has been nothing short of exceptional. He was able to turn my rhinoplasty vision into a reality and really made the entire process are stress-free as possible. I consulted with many physicians before coming to Dr. Lin and I can definitely say that he will choose the most conservative and beneficial route in order to achieve your needed goal. I felt super comfortable the entire process and would recommend him to anyone that asks. I love my newly refined nose 🙂 After a year of recovering from the rhinoplasty, I couldn't be happier. The virtual research rotation with Dr. Lin was very complete. He helped us to create a project of our choice and guide us during the whole month. He was able to answer all our question and help us to construct our project with taking into consideration some details that he already know for experience. Also, as a mentor, he was so kind and patient, which let each student to feel confortable, I very suggest this rotation due to the valuable experience of the doctor and his personalised treatment with each student.
