I received a secondary septoplasty and a turbinate reduction from Dr. Lin in late 2021. The results were way better than I ever could've expected. I was born with a unilateral cleft lip/palate and have struggle to breathe for my entire life, however it had gotten very bad not just on my cleft side but on the other side too due to inflamed turbinates and deviated septum. I could barely breathe thru my nose but had just accepted it as the cards I was dealt until I was encouraged to seek treatment by my orthodontist. I am so glad I went with Dr. Lin. I am always trepidatious with new doctors, especially plastic surgeons, due to my prior medical history. Dr. Lin was kind, clear, and made me feel supported through the journey. He understood that I have been through hell and back with surgeries, and was honest with about what he could realistically do for my nose after I expressed interest in a cosmetic repair as well. I appreciated that honesty and practicality. The results of the surgery were life changing and I only wish I had gone to him sooner. Now I can breathe!

I worked on systematic review through the rotation. I have never experienced this kind of project, which is quite helpul as to how to filter out lots of information and construct strong theme. Dr. Lin helped me through the rotation by giving me steady feedback on each process. His advice has been accurate, which helped me out correcting the projectory in a right way.
