I have a connective tissue disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and had had two prior nose surgeries performed in New York that left me with an untreated deviated septum and a crooked, projected nose that made me unhappy. After a lot of research and several consults with different doctors, I decided to pursue surgery with Dr. Lin. I couldn't be happier with my results! I can finally breathe, and even after being just six weeks post-op, I am so happy with the appearance of my nose. I feel like I still look like me, but now the new and improved version! When I came to Dr. Lin I expressed that I was nervous about having had two prior surgeries that yielded unwanted results, and that I wanted things to go well this time. I brought in pictures of myself that I had modified using an app, to show him what I wanted my nose to look like, even brought in a reversal mirror (mirror that shows you what you look like to other people--he appreciated the mirror lol), and he always took the time to go over all of my questions for as long as I needed, whether it be for an in-person or telephone appointment. The night before my surgery he even called me to see how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had. And right before I went into the operating room he was so reassuring and soothing and made sure to review one last time what the surgical plan was. Dr. Lin is brilliant, an artist, a class act, and I can't recommend him enough! Even my stepson plans to see him at the beginning of next year for correction of a deviated septum. Last but not least, his office and clinical team are top notch and the process of scheduling appointments, payment, post-op care and receiving assistance via the nurse's line, were handled so efficiently. Everyone was so kind. I wish all of my medical care and prior surgeries were handled this way. Dr. Lin and his team are the best! I am so happy with how everything turned out. I have had two surgeries done by a different surgeon for septum/sinus/breathing issues. I wasn't happy, so I sought out someone else to handle the 3rd surgery I needed. I am only about 8 hours after coming off the operating table for septoplasty, nasal valve repair, spreader grafts, and turbinate reduction. I am thrilled. I haven't been able to breathe from my right nostril for years. Even despite the blood, splints and swelling, I am finally actually able to breathe some through my right nostril! I did wake up fairly crabby and in A LOT of pain (which I anticipated a surgery would be painful) but I was told then my surgery was going to be more painful than usual. I sort of had to beg for pain relief in recovery room, not sure how much I was initially given to begin with, and was sent home with (5) 5mg oxycodone after this fairly invasive procedure and I'm still in quite a bit of pain. Be prepared to awake from anesthesia in IMMENSE pain. Ill probably have to call "my buddy" and buy pills for the first time in 15 years because these 5 pills are a handful short of being comfortable for the next day or two. So, maybe on that aspect, make sure you plan ahead. But otherwise Dr Lin was so thorough with listening to me (probably more than any doctor I have ever had), explaining conditions and procedures. He is a very kind man Best Doctor I have ever dealt with. His Staff Brooke and Phyllis were also incredibly kind and helpful. Thank you so much!

I came to see Dr. Lin after I broke my nose and was having trouble breathing. Turns out that I had a deviated septum following the break. Luckily, Dr. Lin was able to fix the deviated septum. While having the surgery, I also elected to have a post-break bump on the hump of my nose removed and tip refinement. He did an amazing job! My nose looks natural and very much improved! Not only did I have a great experience with Dr Lin but the entire staff was great. Very helpful before, after, and on the day of surgery. They made the process easy.

I had a lower face lift and a neck lift performed by Dr. Lin. He was wonderful, and did a perfect job. For a number of years I have had several medical problems, which I worked through over a period time with Dr. Lin, until he felt comfortable performing the surgery. He was very patient throughout this process. I would definitely go to him again. He's not only an excellent plastic surgeon, he's a great person.

Dr. Lin and his team made the process of having surgery straightforward and seamless. From making appointments to booking surgery, they are knowledgeable and efficient. The nurses in the office were excellent, any forms that I needed were completed and faxed on the same or next day which was extremely helpful. I am thankful for the amazing care I received.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, it was a very scary episode in my life, however when at met Dr. Lin at BIDMC he treated with kindness, giving me all the support and hope that I needed it. Having a double mastectomy was devastating. Dr. Lin gave me a sense of security and confidence as I was going to have my breast reconstruction, he did an excellent work, my breast is perfect, it made me feel alive again. And after 10 years I continue in the care of Dr. Lin for breast implants changes and other plastic surgeries. I can't thank enough Dr. Lin, his team and all BIDMC doctors. Best Doctors!.

I had delayed DIEP Flap surgery at Beth Israel Hospital in September 2023 with Doctor Samuel Lin. I am amazed at how well this whole experience has been. I am 66 years old and had absolutely no complications. I am six weeks out and continue to heal everyday. I absolutely love my results!!!! Doctor Lin is kind and compassionate and will answer all your questions and put your mind at ease. All the staff here at this hospital are amazing, including the clinical staff and the inpatient nurses and doctors. I would highly recommend Doctor Samuel Lin if you need any type of Plastic Surgery.
