The reason I want to write you this card is to thank you for all you’ve done for me, during this journey in my life. But now that I’ve started to write about my gratitude, I realize that I can’t really think of words that are sufficient to convey my thankfulness. This time has been so scary for me, and your compassion and kindness toward me has been so reassuring and soothing. I can’t even tell you how much it’s meant to me. The patience and good humor you displayed in reading my letters prior to my surgery….Obviously, I have control issues! Even though I’m the patient, and you are the doctor, you always make me feel that I’m part of the team. I’m sure that in this career of yours you have come to grasp an understanding of what a woman’s breasts can mean to her; they are a somewhat sacred part of her body and self. I don’t think I even understood this until I was faced with having mine removed, due to cancer. The option of reconstruction has been one beacon of hope; the only lighthouse guiding me to a port, while I weather this storm. It’s been rough, but to carry the metaphor forward, my ship is strong, and I thank God for your light! I know I’ll be stronger at the end of all this. But what would I have done without you and your staff? I don’t know. Considering I’m having my hysterectomy next week it’s been one assault after another on my womanhood! Because of you, I know I can look forward to a future, where I’ll be having some sense of my female identity restored to me. And someday this crisis will be over, and I can help others who face the same kind of storms.
I just want you to know how pleased I am with the results of my surgery you performed in June. The results far exceed my expectations, even while I’m healing! Not only are you extremely professional, but you are caring and reassuring. I had given up hope that I would be “normal” again after the birth of my second child. You have given me a new lease on life and have restored my confidence. Your staff is wonderful and helped to add to my positive experience. Thank you again!
Words seem inadequate to express my gratitude (and amazement!) for what you have done for me. Dr. Lin is a wonderful surgeon with a great bedside manner - and the whole team is incredibly kind and helpful throughout the process (a particular thanks to Calley Lynch, Dr. Mundra, and Alicia Blythe). A big thing for me was feeling like Dr. Lin really knew what I wanted AND that he would accommodate this without compromising function and structure. Surgery went smoothly, and now I am 5 weeks out from my rhinoplasty and feel so happy with the results so far, even knowing that it's early and things will continue to improve/swelling will decrease. I want to start this by saying I never met the surgeon. Im not denying he’s great. However, I went this afternoon for a consultation. I was very excited to get information on my potential surgery. I paid 100 dollars and was brought into a room where the NP met me. We briefly discussed what I wanted to have done. She then started asking questions about myself and one included “do you smoke”. I told her I do not but occasionally vape. She then told me I would need to pass a drug test for nicotine prior to even meeting the surgeon and discussing the procedure and what the costs would be. I respect the fact that nicotine can cause issues and they want to be cautious. However, to find a babysitter, drive an hour, pay 100 dollars and then be told I have to come back on another date to take a drug test in order to even DISCUSS what this process looks like or would cost seems insane to me. Again, I’m not leaving this review to say anything negative about the surgeon. However, it would’ve been nice if the people on the phone told me “if you’re a nicotine user just know we’re going to take 100 bucks from you and leave you with 0 information and make you come back to pass a drug test”. At least then I wouldn’t have driven down. I left very upset and felt stupid.December 05, 2024

Every step of the process with Dr. Lin and his team was a breeze. From the consult with his PA Callie, to the surgery prep, the surgery itself, post surgery questions, and my final appointment. I had a septoplasty to improve breathing and even 6 weeks out things have gotten much better. I cannot believe how easy the recovery process was and I think that is a testament to Dr. Lin’s skill and his team’s attention to detail. Having never had surgery before I was a bit nervous, but every person along the way was caring and helpful. I had the pleasure of being Dr. Lin's patient. After not being able to breath out of my nose for years, I made an appointment to see Dr. Lin. Dr. Lin performed a septoplasty and I have already noticed a significant difference within just a few short weeks. Dr. Lin is absolutely fantastic.
