I am very pleased with the results of my procedure with Dr. Lin. From the very start, he answered all of my questions and was easy to communicate with. I felt very comfortable and safe in his hands, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional, kind, and warm doctor.
I had Dr. Lin for two different cosmetic procedures and I would whole heartedly recommend him to anyone who is looking into getting cosmetics done. From the very beginning it was an incredible experience. He was always very helpful and patient in answering all the questions I asked him (there was over 30!) and he is great at making you feel comfortable and heard. One of the things I loved about him is he doesn’t sugarcoat things to you and explains everything in as many different ways as you need so you fully understand everything. He gives you the best advice so that you may have the best possible outcomes. He checks in with you many times before surgery to make sure you are feeling good about your decision and is always reachable to you. The day of surgery went so smoothly. He has the very best team that takes care of everything from the IVs to placing the marks so that you are the least stressed as possible. I had no complications and I am in love with the results. I am in awe everyday with my new body and it is all thanks to Dr. Lin!
I am writing this letter as a follow up to my daughter, Angela’s, Rhinoplasty and deviated septum surgery in August. Knowing that you have so many patients, I will try to familiarize you with her situation. She had, at this point in time, just completed her freshman year in college and was about to transfer to San Francisco. She came to you primarily to have nose surgery. As a parent, I always believed that my daughter was a beautiful young woman. However, my husband and I supported her in her decision to have her nose “fixed”. She had a minor bump and had been the subject of bullying in high school and middle school because of her nose. As bright and as talented as my daughter was, her confidence in her appearance and in other aspects of her life had been compromised. She had a very successful surgery at your gifted hands. You were able to repair her deviated septum but, more importantly, you were able to shave down the bump and sculpt her nose. What a beautiful job! She just graduated, Cum-Laude, from college with a degree in Public Relations/Political Science. She is staying in San Francisco and has a job with a communications firm. I recently asked her what professor made the biggest impact on her college career and she quickly replied that, “It wasn’t a professor; it was Dr. Lin”. She went on to tell me in a mother/daughter conversation that Dr. Lin “made me realize that I wasn’t ugly”. This comment tugged at my heartstrings, but I wanted you to know that you were directly responsible for restoring her confidence in herself. We are very proud of her as she begins her career. She is a happy, vibrant, and accomplished young woman. You were a huge part of her success! Hope that all in well with you. Enclosed is a picture of her at her graduation. I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks for the compassionate and skillful care you-and your team-have provided my spouse during her nose reconstruction. I have watched her regain her confidence, and spirit, with each healing day that passes. It is thanks to your skill that she did not have to go through the forehead flap procedure, and thanks to you that she is healing beautifully! My visit to you on July 14 turned out to be bittersweet! I am thrilled at how well my nose healed – however, every time I visited your office it was a shot in the arm. You and your staff could not have been more supportive and encouraging. I will be forever grateful.

When I took off the bandages and the surgical bra and looked in the mirror, for the first time since my mastectomy cancer was not looking back at me. Thank you so much. I am proud and always have been to be a cancer survivor. It is like a badge of honor that reminds me when I doubt myself I can do whatever I have to. However before the surgery I didn’t feel like I looked the same. Not only am I proud to say I am a breast cancer survivor, but I also thanks to you look better than I did before. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to learn from Dr. Lin! Dr. Lin presented all the materials and answered all my questions very clearly, and I especially loved the surgery videos which are very well-presented and to me felt like I was watching the live surgery. I truly learned a whole lot from the course, from the fundamentals of plastic surgery to the most interesting novel techniques and I feel like this course not only opened my eyes but also set me on my path as an aspiring plastic surgeon. It’s certainly been a very exciting month of learning and I really hope to delve deeper into plastic surgery in the future!
As a medical student with long-standing nasal congestion, I was wary about getting a procedure done before trying medications first. I did not find too much relief from the nasal sprays and eventually sought Dr. Lin out from a trusted referral. His office was organized and usually very responsive, and I went to see him for 2 visits before the surgery itself. I appreciated Dr. Lin’s bedside manner and he did not push any particular procedure on me before I made my own decision. I eventually decided to get surgery at BIDMC with Dr. Lin, and my patient care experience was as smooth as possible. I am now finished with the recovery period, and am so happy that I decided to go through the process! I had an anatomical problem that only surgery could fix, and I am thankful to Dr. Lin for guiding me through a stressful and time-sensitive journey!
After being treated extremely well by Dr. Lin and his staff at BIDMC, I highly recommend anyone considering to have a breast reduction. After having 4 children and dealing with chronic neck and back pain, I decided to have the surgery. Dr. Lin and his staff from the beginning have been very informative and attentive to any of my concerns and needs. I could have not picked a better surgeon and a better team to care for me. I can say with the biggest smile on my face since the surgery I have no neck pain and no back pain, but also that I have better self esteem because not only am I able to do more but that my shirts fit better and I look better as well. Dr. Lin is the best. After going to Beth Israel’s Cancer Center, I was referred to Dr. Lin and spoke with them (was a scary time of course ) . Everyone from 2 employees at the desk including Stacy these days, to nurses & physician’s assistants, ” everyone” has treated me so well. And kept me calm. All of the staff there is very polite. They were great to answer all my questions, results of surgeries were really great. This is a supportive team that I visit once a year – for 5 years – and it is this team I praise so much who helps me move forward. My experience with Dr. Lin’s plastic surgery virtual telehealth rotation has been invaluable. I had an amazing time learning from Dr. Lin who, from day 1, showed impeccable professionalism and an eager enthusiasm towards teaching. I found myself at ease with Dr. Lin and learned a great deal of plastic surgery. The course, in fact, not only lays a solid foundation on the principles of reconstructive surgery but also dives deep into the vast subfields of burn, craniofacial, head and neck, hand and lower extremity, breast, aesthetic and gender affirmation surgery. I cannot stress enough how this rotation shaped me into a better, well-rounded physician and how grateful I am for the precious time spent with Dr. Lin. I believe this experience was crucial in leading me towards pursuing plastic surgery as my residency choice and I now consider myself even more determined to match into this fascinating field. I will look up to Dr. Lin as an example for my future career. It is once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from such talented and yet humble plastic surgeon as Dr. Lin and I would highly suggest it to my fellow colleagues.
I had a breast reduction surgery done by Dr. Lin and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! Having surgery scheduled during a pandemic was concerning but the office was great with communication and reassuring all of their safety practices. His support staff is very easy to deal with and very friendly. They made me feel so comfortable in my decision by always answering any questions or concerns I had. They all go above and beyond for their patients. They even worked with my insurance to get the approval after it was rejected. I highly recommend Dr. Lin and his team for any of your surgical needs, he is experienced and definitely knows what he is doing

Dr. Lin made my plastic surgery rotation enjoyable. I love his consistency and dedication to his chosen field – a great inspiration to my young self. During my rotation, our meeting time was at 10:00pm EST due to the different time zones, Monday-Friday. Dr. Lin was always on time and answered all our questions. He is a great teacher!
