Everything is organized and well planned out in detail. I truly recommend doing a rotation with Dr. Lin to those who are interested in the field of plastic and reconstruction surgery. Dr. Lin provided us with so many interesting cases that I don’t think we will come across all of them within just one month. You will certainly get a glimpse of the field as a whole which is very beneficial to any medical student. I gained so much new knowledge and saw many exciting procedures I had not seen before during medical school. The articles and quizzes on the platform he provided us are exceptional and valuable. At first, I was pretty nervous since he’s the program director, but Dr. Lin is very humble and patient. I indeed did have a good time, and I’m sure you will, too, for those deciding on taking this rotation!

I recommend the clinical rotation, especially for those who want to evolve in the surgical field. Dr. Lin is a great professor who is devoted to IMG education. I attended a one-month plastic surgery rotation with him. This month, we went through important plastic surgical topics, including wound healing, reconstruction of nose, breast, and limb, etc. These topics are useful and astonishing to medical graduates. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable to address all the questions I had. I really enjoyed this virtual rotation with him.

It was incredibly instructive, and Dr. Samuel Lin’s explanations of each and every point were quite clear. I’d like to work with Dr. Samuel Lin in the future.

I had a chance to observe the work of Dr. Lin virtually and It was truly a great experience for me. Dr. Lin is a master at his craft, caring about his patients, and takes time to find solutions to problems that others may dismiss. He successfully fixed another surgeon’s work, and I even traveled from NY to MA to consult with him on a new area. My story: I previously had gauged ear piercings that were about 1/2” holes, and was no longer ‘using’ them as I started modeling. My ENT at the time had offered to surgically close the holes in my attached earlobes. However, his work did not make sense; he created puckered, concave pockets in my earlobes, which actually trapped dirt, and could lead to infection. I consulted with one plastic surgeon who knew my now-former ENT, mentioned they golfed together, and claimed the work was ‘superb.’ It was not. After consulting with 6 other cosmetic surgeons in and around the Boston area, I was thankful to find Dr. Lin. He not only cares about his work, but also cares about me as a patient; he understands cosmetic surgery is about how you feel – both physically, and emotionally. He took the time to assess the area, and spoke to me with compassion and professionalism. He then took the time to create a plan to fix the area, walking me through each step. He provided realistic expectations about results, and aftercare. My earlobes healed flat without issue. My earlobes are just as dainty as they were prior to piercing, and appear unblemished. People tell me they can’t believe they were once pierced, let alone gauged! Nearly 10 years later, I traveled from New York to Boston in order to work with Dr. Lin on a unique, and very uncomfortable, back scar. I had consulted with 12 different dermatologists and dermatological surgeons, none of whom provided holistically accurate information, nor care for my person. Dr. Lin provided a unique solution no one had previously suggested, and took the time to explain additional information about the skin and body about which I was ill-informed. I’m looking forward to working with him in the future, and recommend him to absolutely everyone!
