I struggled with difficulty breathing due to chronic congestion after having my son 5 years ago. Over the counter and prescribed meds, I tried everything! I finally decided to do something about it and saw ENT and I found out I had a deviated septum and enlarged turbinates in both nostrils. I couldn't enjoy most meals or do certain exercises without feeling so out of breath. I decided to get the recommended septoplasty surgery and what a difference! I can breathe so much better now and what I struggled to smell in the past due to swollen nasal passages I can now smell without difficulty. Certain perfumes/colognes I'm more sensitive to now but all in all I'm so happy with my results. Dr. Samuel Lin took good care of me pre and post operatively. I'm excited to see how I feel come the spring/summer season.

Dr Lin performed a septoplasty, turbinate reduction as well as some work on my nasal valves to increase airflow through my nose. After 1 week recovery and a followup appt my breathing capacity has increased 10-fold. I am breathing fully with both nostrils at all times. As a result this has greatly increased my quality of life and sleep as well. The most difficult part of recovery was the first 24hrs after coming out of anesthesia. The following week was uncomfortable as I had stents in my nose until the followup appointment. Immediately following stent removal I noticed a massive increase with the airflow through my nose (immediate relief). I would recommend this surgery to anyone who has discomfort or semi-restricted breathing through their nose. No more blocked noses on cold days or trouble falling asleep/snoring. I would especially recommend Dr Lin and his team as well. He was very professional with me from the start and is clearly a highly skilled surgeon. I read horror stories online about these procedures, but experienced nothing worse than a cracking headache after coming out of anesthesia.

On October 2014, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. In November the plan was to have a mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. Two weeks later I found out that my cancer had spread into my lymph nodes. This meant that I had Stage 3 Breast Cancer. I meant with Dr. Lin and he was devastated to hear the news. He knew how nervous I was and he was very supported. You would have thought I was a family member. Dr. Lin advised me that the reconstruction surgery would be damaged due to the upcoming radiation. However once the treatment was completed, we would come up with a plan together. I met with Dr. Lin a couple of times for fat graphing. He was very honest to let me know that this may not work due to radiation. He was correct. Lastly, he suggested for a implant. We had success! This was a very long journey, but I would have not wanted another doctor. Dr. Lin is so patient and his work is meticulous! He makes his patients feel important! I highly recommend Dr. Lin! He truly cares about his patients. He never makes you feel rushed during your appointments. He takes time to answer your questions. I will always be grateful, thank you!! Charlene

I am thrilled by the results of my surgery. From start to finish the doctor and staff were professional, empathetic, gentle, and thorough. Prior to my surgery I had neck and back pain, but this surgery changed all of that. Now I can easily move around, have an easier time working out, am way less stiff and sore. I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Lin and his office! Everyone on his team was incredibly professional from reception to his amazing nursing staff! From the initial consult until my final post-op, they made sure that I was educated and comfortable every step of the way! I am sure they have many patients, but they made me feel like I was always a top priority throughout the whole process. After reading several positive experiences from previous patients, I chose Dr. Lin's office, and I am so thankful that I did!

I wanted to like Dr. Lin. I do like doctor Lin, personally, himself, he is probably the best doctor I've had the experience of dealing with. However, when you put yourself into the hands of a surgeon, one must consider the whole team. You do not want to wake up from anesthesia in immense pain with little to no pain medication. It is a very very painful traumatic experience I hope everyone can avoid. I was not that lucky, however, as doctor Lins young, improperly trained staff put me through such an experience. I am only reviewing here as I left a review on google this morning and it seems Dr Lin did his best to have 3 positive reviews in just 12 hours come in to cover over mine....I didnt appreciate that. Ask yourself if you want to put your comfort in Dr Lins hands to a very inexperienced staff trained under relatively new anti-pain med FDA guidelines which have already been back tracked. Do you want to wake up from anesthesia in intense pain after a very invasive surgery? I bet you dont. Choose wisely.

I had surgery 2 years ago first it was a big scary but with understanding it and the benefits i will get from it it was the best decision i made Dr.Lin and his staff was great i would highly recommend him the staff is the office is amazing.

I would like to take a moment and share my experience with Dr. Lin and his amazing staff. I have survived both ovarian cancer and breast cancer. I have had the best of care for the past 20 years at the BI, but I often experience a tremendous amount of anxiety whenever I have a doctor's appointment. After making the decision to have diep flap surgery my doctor referred me to Dr. Lin. Although I knew having the surgery was the right decision I was worried how I might handle yet another procedure. From the moment I met Dr. Lin and his staff I new I was in good hands and that I would be able to handle the long surgery and recovery. Because I had had radiation treatment on my left breast it took a bit longer for my breast to recover. Throughout the recovery process I was able to reach out to Dr. Lin's amazing nursing staff and they would immediately contact Dr. Lin with my question and then call me to reassure me that everything was fine. I would recommend Dr. Lin's practice to anyone of my loved ones and friends. I just finished my 6 month follow-up with Dr. Lin and all is well! I am able to lift weights and walk without any discomfort. While it was a journey and took a lot of courage it has given me such peace of mind. While nobody can promise me that I will never get breast cancer again, knowing that I have done all I can is the best feeling. I will alway be grateful to Dr. Lin and his entire staff! They are amazing!!

I have a connective tissue disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and had had two prior nose surgeries performed in New York that left me with an untreated deviated septum and a crooked, projected nose that made me unhappy. After a lot of research and several consults with different doctors, I decided to pursue surgery with Dr. Lin. I couldn't be happier with my results! I can finally breathe, and even after being just six weeks post-op, I am so happy with the appearance of my nose. I feel like I still look like me, but now the new and improved version! When I came to Dr. Lin I expressed that I was nervous about having had two prior surgeries that yielded unwanted results, and that I wanted things to go well this time. I brought in pictures of myself that I had modified using an app, to show him what I wanted my nose to look like, even brought in a reversal mirror (mirror that shows you what you look like to other people--he appreciated the mirror lol), and he always took the time to go over all of my questions for as long as I needed, whether it be for an in-person or telephone appointment. The night before my surgery he even called me to see how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had. And right before I went into the operating room he was so reassuring and soothing and made sure to review one last time what the surgical plan was. Dr. Lin is brilliant, an artist, a class act, and I can't recommend him enough! Even my stepson plans to see him at the beginning of next year for correction of a deviated septum. Last but not least, his office and clinical team are top notch and the process of scheduling appointments, payment, post-op care and receiving assistance via the nurse's line, were handled so efficiently. Everyone was so kind. I wish all of my medical care and prior surgeries were handled this way. Dr. Lin and his team are the best! I am so happy with how everything turned out. Each month, I appreciate the functional and aesthetic improvements more and more. Despite my challenges with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and two previous unsuccessful surgeries, Dr. Lin’s expertise has transformed my experience. I can breathe easily and feel confident in my appearance, which feels like a true enhancement of my natural self.
