I had the pleasure of working with an incredible plastic surgery team lead by Dr. Samuel Lin. I've had three previous surgeries, including an initial breast reconstruction and two revisions done at a different hospital. All three surgeries left me unpleased with the results. Dr. Lin and his staff were amazing! I am really pleased with the outcome of my breast reduction surgery that I had done with Dr. Lin. My neck and back pain significantly decreased following the procedure. I used to be a size 40DD and now I am a 38B. 🙂 I now feel like I can maintain a healthier lifestyle and work out without any trouble. I had an amazing experience getting a septoplasty and rhinoplasty with Dr. Lin! He took his time during the consultation and pre-surgical appointments to thoroughly explain the procedure and expectations. He took a conservative approach to the cosmetic portion to the rhinoplasty, which I appreciated as I was looking for a minor change. I was really excited about this opportunity, to participate in the virtual surgery rotation at plastic surgery, and believe it was a very valuable experience. Taking part in a rotation like this, at such a prestigious institution, under the guidance of a great expert, and in a field I've always held in high regard. At all times, Dr. Lin has consistently shown great attentiveness to the group, always engaging, answering all questions, and making himself available. I believe that the online format has provided a significant opportunity for me to participate in the virtual surgery rotation, especially considering myself as an under-represented student My expectations for this program were of great learning, and I believe that even in a virtual format, it was possible to make the most of the practical applications in each discussion, getting closer and closer to what it would be like in a United States Clinical Experience. I had the opportunity to get to know and become familiar with the highest level and quality in the practice of plastic surgery at a reference center in the United States. I also got to meet other students who share the same interest in the field and each of them is at a different stage of their journey.

I hemmed and hawed for several years over whether to have my deviated septum corrected and finally went for it this year. On one hand, I wish I had done it sooner because it has been literally life changing - I can breathe, I sleep better, I have had fewer sinus issues and headaches. On the other hand, I am so glad I waited because I was able to work with Dr. Lin and his team, all of whom have been helpful and informative and, I believe, immensely talented. My recovery was surprisingly painless, with no need for painkillers beyond over the counter meds. I 100% attribute this to the skill and care of this team. Seriously, deeply, thank you all!

For anybody on the fence about the benefits of getting a septoplasty if you have trouble breathing, please do not hesitate. My breathing has improved dramatically. Especially, being able to sleep on either side without feeling like by airway is obstructed. Additionally, Dr. Lin was very responsive to my concerns about a revision breast surgery. After a prior surgery led to a very dramatic asymmetry, Dr. Lin was able to improve the symmetry with a revision surgery.

I had a really wonderful experience with Dr. Lin. In 2021 he gave me a full left mastectomy and he was very patient and gentle with me. He could tell I was scared and he answered every question and concern I had. This year 7 weeks ago he gave me an implant in my left breast as well as reducing my right breast for symmetry. I am very satisfied and will definitely return if I have any other plastic surgery needs.
