If you’re reading this and you’re on the fence about whether or not to get a septoplasty, I can tell you that a lifetime of effortless breathing is 1,000% worth it. Overall I had an easy experience from consultation, to surgery, to post-operative care. Dr. Lin and his team are incredibly skilled in this procedure – before my surgery I was reading up on other people’s recovery stories, and the recovery I had was far easier than anything I had imagined thanks to the way Dr. Lin performs this surgery. I would especially recommend him for septoplasty because he takes extra preventative measures against nasal perforations, which can occur post-operatively and require additional surgeries to repair. Since Dr. Lin performs surgery on patients with nasal perforations, he ensures that his septoplasty patients have the best chance possible against developing them post-op. I am about 2 months out and breathing better than I ever have in my life, and my only regret is that I wish I got this surgery sooner. Thank you Dr. Lin!

It has been a great experience for me. My septum was severely deviated. I was getting migraines all the time. I slept only 3-4 hours a night. My blood oxygen level was consistently at a 95. Since my surgery I am sleeping through the night. My blood oxygen level is consistently at 100. I’m no longer exhausted all the time! My brain fog from lack of sleep is gone. I am no longer snoring. My cat used to wake me up several times a night. In hindsight I think it’s because I would stop breathing. Since my surgery I haven’t seen her at all at night. It was well worth having this procedure!

Dr. Lin and his associate, Dr. Mundra, are outstanding surgeons and are very thorough and caring with the follow-up as well. They also work with an outstanding team of nurses. I am very pleased and grateful!

As someone with both year round allergies and a deviated septum with nasal valve collapse- I was dealing with sinus infections all the time as well as nasal pain. In addition to the pain I was getting much less oxygen through my nose than needed. When I had finally had enough and started my journey to getting it fixed, an ENT recommended surgery. Obviously surgery is a big deal so I did tons of research before landing on a place to go and have my initial consultation. Right off the bat the staff at the BIDMC plastic surgery department were so friendly and informative I felt very comfortable. Once I met Dr. Lin I knew I was going to go through with the surgery and really improve my quality of life. He made me feel validated in my pain and made a clear plan of action. I couldn’t recommend him anymore. I am 5 weeks post op now and can already feel a huge difference in my nose. Thank you Dr. Lin and staff!! Update: Just had my six month check in post surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I am breathing so much better and have healed perfectly. Thank you Dr. Lin and team!! What a journey this has been. When I got the news of a breast cancer diagnosis, I first faced it and allowed myself time to process before jumping into fight mode.
