I thought about getting a breast reduction for years. I was so uncomfortable all the time and had an awful time finding clothes that would fit properly. I was referred to Dr. Lin by my dermatologist and after meeting him and his team I wish I hadn’t waited so long. I knew immediately he was the surgeon I wanted to do my surgery. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Lin in 2016 when I was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma . No one ever wants to hear the words “You have Cancer”. It was a very difficult time in my life, so many decisions to be made lumpectomy, mastectomy, reconstruction…. When I first met with Dr. Lin, I was so nervous because I was unsure of what I was going to do after my bilateral mastectomy. I didn’t know what my options were. Dr. Lin took the time to thoroughly explain all the procedures that were available and answered all the questions that I had. Dr. Lin never rushed me or persuaded me to go with one procedure over the other. I decided to go with the bilateral DIEP Flap breast reconstruction. The reconstruction was performed immediately after the bilateral mastectomy. The morning of my surgery, I put 100% of my trust in Dr Lin. I felt so confident that he would do an amazing job putting my body together and he did. It has been 4 years since my diagnosis and it makes me feel blessed that I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Lin on my team. Dr. Lin is amazing, he is very knowledgable, kind, caring and compassionate. When he asks how you are feeling, he wants to know good or bad. He will be there for you not matter what.
