I had the opportunity of attending a 4 week research rotation with Dr. Lin. This clinical research experience was very inspiring and I must say that I learnt a lot from Dr. Lin during this time. Although, very busy, Dr. Lin would spend time during meetings and out of meeting hours to respond to all questions I had and was very encouraging throughout the entire research experience. I highly recommend this clinical research rotation with Dr. Lin to medical students or graduates who are interested in surgery as it offers a great opportunity to learn a lot about the surgical field.

Dr. Lin was an amazing teacher really helpful and kind, he was available to answer any doubt or concerned that I had regarding the material. I highly recommend to do a virtual Clinical Rotation to any IMG and learn about the health system in USA. I learned a lot about Plastic surgery, new techniques and different approaches and treatments. And loved the Decker platform, it is really interactive and enjoyed studying and reading articles from it. All the experience was perfect.

I had the honour of having Dr. Samuel Lin as my mentor for one of my favourite specialities/programs. I got to learn a lot more about plastic surgery with Dr. Lin than I ever did in medical school. I saw surgeries that I wouldn’t have seen if it wasn’t for Dr. Lin’s program. He had the whole month planned out for his students since day 1 – it was extremely well balanced including reading material, testing material, audio/visual material and his personal slides/surgeries to top it all off. He addressed all my queries with extreme patience and helped me clear my concepts. It was truly amazing to have him as my mentor for this month long program, and it’s the only time I will ever say, I wish I got to study a little more with him.

I would really recommend this clinical rotation to every student who wants to be in the surgery field, especially the ones interested in plastic and reconstructive surgery. You go from learning the basic plastic surgery principles to very specific topics. I was impressed by the detailed information you are able to learn in every procedure. You have the opportunity to view and discuss with the Doctor very rare and interesting cases and procedures. The feedback and discussion from the Doctor is invaluable.

I attended a 4 week plastic surgery rotation with Dr.Lin. He is a great professor and has conducted an amazing course. I learned so much from him in the short amount of time I was able to spend with him. He does a fantastic job of encouraging you to get involved and clarifies any doubts you may have through out the course. I highly recommend attending his rotation to anyone who has the opportunity.

Dr. Lin was an exceptional teacher and leader. I was exposed to many facets of plastic surgery in his course that I wouldn’t otherwise in any other elective. I highly recommend his elective to any student who is passionate about pursuing a career in Plastic and reconstructive surgery.

I had a breast reduction and lift about 3 months ago, I could not ask for a better doctor than Dr. Lin. They took very good care of me before and after the surgery, I had common complications with my wounds (delayed healing), but the doctor was always very receptive and answered all my questions, if I had to go the same day because I was feeling pain, the office was always opened to check me. My breasts are now symmetric and perky, I barely see the scar. I am very happy with the outcome of the surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Lin and his staff for their expertise and professionalism. He truly changed my life, no more back pain.
