The reason I want to write you this card is to thank you for all you’ve done for me, during this journey in my life. But now that I’ve started to write about my gratitude, I realize that I can’t really think of words that are sufficient to convey my thankfulness. This time has been so scary for me, and your compassion and kindness toward me has been so reassuring and soothing. I can’t even tell you how much it’s meant to me. The patience and good humor you displayed in reading my letters prior to my surgery….Obviously, I have control issues! Even though I’m the patient, and you are the doctor, you always make me feel that I’m part of the team. I’m sure that in this career of yours you have come to grasp an understanding of what a woman’s breasts can mean to her; they are a somewhat sacred part of her body and self. I don’t think I even understood this until I was faced with having mine removed, due to cancer. The option of reconstruction has been one beacon of hope; the only lighthouse guiding me to a port, while I weather this storm. It’s been rough, but to carry the metaphor forward, my ship is strong, and I thank God for your light! I know I’ll be stronger at the end of all this. But what would I have done without you and your staff? I don’t know. Considering I’m having my hysterectomy next week it’s been one assault after another on my womanhood! Because of you, I know I can look forward to a future, where I’ll be having some sense of my female identity restored to me. And someday this crisis will be over, and I can help others who face the same kind of storms.
I just want you to know how pleased I am with the results of my surgery you performed in June. The results far exceed my expectations, even while I’m healing! Not only are you extremely professional, but you are caring and reassuring. I had given up hope that I would be “normal” again after the birth of my second child. You have given me a new lease on life and have restored my confidence. Your staff is wonderful and helped to add to my positive experience. Thank you again!
Words seem inadequate to express my gratitude (and amazement!) for what you have done for me. I came to see Dr. Lin after I broke my nose and was having trouble breathing. Turns out that I had a deviated septum following the break. Luckily, Dr. Lin was able to fix the deviated septum. While having the surgery, I also elected to have a post-break bump on the hump of my nose removed and tip refinement. He did an amazing job! My nose looks natural and very much improved! Not only did I have a great experience with Dr Lin but the entire staff was great. Very helpful before, after, and on the day of surgery. They made the process easy.
Thank you to everyone at Dr. Lin’s office including nurses, reception, and PA staff. Being diagnosed with breast cancer is scary, but from the moment I met Dr. Lin I knew that I was in good hands. Dr. Lin and his staff are the best in the business! I had twins 9 years ago and have had three very successful cosmetic procedures over a series of years following their birth. His attention to detail and bedside manner is quite a rare find. He is the best!
I had a lower face lift and a neck lift performed by Dr. Lin. He was wonderful, and did a perfect job. For a number of years I have had several medical problems, which I worked through over a period time with Dr. Lin, until he felt comfortable performing the surgery. He was very patient throughout this process. I would definitely go to him again. He’s not only an excellent plastic surgeon, he’s a great person.

I had delayed DIEP Flap surgery at Beth Israel Hospital in September 2023 with Doctor Samuel Lin. I am amazed at how well this whole experience has been. I am 66 years old and had absolutely no complications. I am six weeks out and continue to heal everyday. I absolutely love my results!!!! Doctor Lin is kind and compassionate and will answer all your questions and put your mind at ease. All the staff here at this hospital are amazing, including the clinical staff and the inpatient nurses and doctors. I would highly recommend Doctor Samuel Lin if you need any type of Plastic Surgery.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, it was a very scary episode in my life, however when at met Dr. Lin at BIDMC he treated with kindness, giving me all the support and hope that I needed it. Having a double mastectomy was devastating. Dr. Lin gave me a sense of security and confidence as I was going to have my breast reconstruction, he did an excellent work, my breast is perfect, it made me feel alive again.
