The reason I want to write you this card is to thank you for all you’ve done for me, during this journey in my life. But now that I’ve started to write about my gratitude, I realize that I can’t really think of words that are sufficient to convey my thankfulness. This time has been so scary for me, and your compassion and kindness toward me has been so reassuring and soothing. I can’t even tell you how much it’s meant to me. The patience and good humor you displayed in reading my letters prior to my surgery….Obviously, I have control issues! Even though I’m the patient, and you are the doctor, you always make me feel that I’m part of the team. I’m sure that in this career of yours you have come to grasp an understanding of what a woman’s breasts can mean to her; they are a somewhat sacred part of her body and self. I don’t think I even understood this until I was faced with having mine removed, due to cancer. The option of reconstruction has been one beacon of hope; the only lighthouse guiding me to a port, while I weather this storm. It’s been rough, but to carry the metaphor forward, my ship is strong, and I thank God for your light! I know I’ll be stronger at the end of all this. But what would I have done without you and your staff? I don’t know. Considering I’m having my hysterectomy next week it’s been one assault after another on my womanhood! Because of you, I know I can look forward to a future, where I’ll be having some sense of my female identity restored to me. And someday this crisis will be over, and I can help others who face the same kind of storms.
I just want you to know how pleased I am with the results of my surgery you performed in June. The results far exceed my expectations, even while I’m healing! Not only are you extremely professional, but you are caring and reassuring. I had given up hope that I would be “normal” again after the birth of my second child. You have given me a new lease on life and have restored my confidence. Your staff is wonderful and helped to add to my positive experience. Thank you again!
Words seem inadequate to express my gratitude (and amazement!) for what you have done for me. Another ENT at BIDMC referred me to Dr. Lin to help address issues breathing through my nose (deviated septum etc). Dr. Lin and his whole team have been great since day 1, I always felt listened to and they had the patience to explain the process the whole way. I did end up needing corrective surgery and Dr. Lin performed the surgery in early February. After just a few weeks I could already breath so much better and everything is healing well. I would highly recommend him and his team (all the residents, PAs and nurses were awesome). I also can’t say enough about the kindness of the nurses at Baptist where the surgery took place.
Dr. Lin and his team are amazing. I had a breast reduction and experienced almost immediate relief of my neck and shoulder pain. Everything looks incredible and is healing nicely. I couldn’t be happier with how I feel now and recommend a consultation with Dr. Lin if you are thinking about a breast reduction. 6 months post op and everything has progressed better than I could have imagined. Very minimal scarring. The team here is so wonderful.
Dr. Lin and his staff were wonderful. Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly and my results were indicative of this. I thought about having breast reduction surgery for 10 years, a friend recommended Dr Lin, and the experience was nothing short of awesome! I am at the 6 week point of my recovery, and the results are amazing! No more back, neck, and shoulder pain, and all clothes fit so much better. The recovery process was so much easier than I thought, the only regret is that I waited so long to do this.
