Dr Lin is an incredibly talented and kind surgeon. If you are considering DIEP flap surgery he is the surgeon you want! His work is amazing. He takes the time to explain everything and is always extremely patient with questions/concerns. All of the staff are also extremely kind and helpful. HIGHLY recommend! Update: 4 Months later: I am still incredibly pleased with the results of this surgery. I feel great and couldn’t be happier with Dr Lin and his team. Even post-surgery everyone is extremely attentive and caring. Thank you Dr Lin!!

I would like to take a moment and share my experience with Dr. Lin and his amazing staff. I have survived both ovarian cancer and breast cancer. I have had the best of care for the past 20 years at the BI, but I often experience a tremendous amount of anxiety whenever I have a doctor’s appointment. After making the decision to have diep flap surgery my doctor referred me to Dr. Lin. Although I knew having the surgery was the right decision I was worried how I might handle yet another procedure. From the moment I met Dr. Lin and his staff I new I was in good hands and that I would be able to handle the long surgery and recovery. Because I had had radiation treatment on my left breast it took a bit longer for my breast to recover. Throughout the recovery process I was able to reach out to Dr. Lin’s amazing nursing staff and they would immediately contact Dr. Lin with my question and then call me to reassure me that everything was fine. I would recommend Dr. Lin’s practice to anyone of my loved ones and friends. I just finished my 6 month follow-up with Dr. Lin and all is well! I am able to lift weights and walk without any discomfort. While it was a journey and took a lot of courage it has given me such peace of mind. While nobody can promise me that I will never get breast cancer again, knowing that I have done all I can is the best feeling. I will alway be grateful to Dr. Lin and his entire staff! They are amazing!!

I recently had a breast reduction and am already thrilled with the results. My decision to have this surgery was based on back, neck and shoulder pain, bras digging into my skin and being uncomfortable while exercising due to having to wear multiple sports bras. I choose Dr. Lin after meeting with 2 other surgeons because he listened to my concerns, explained the procedure and risks clearly, and made me feel confident that he could achieve the outcome I wanted. The day of the surgery, he and his staff made me feel so comfortable and cared for, everyone was friendly and supportive, making sure I had everything I needed from check in until I left the facility. They followed up the next day to make sure everything was going well and have continued to monitor my progress, always available when I had post -op questions. I had no complications, everything healed well and I am in love with my results! Dr. Lin and his staff are truly the best! Happy patient here! I just had my 6 month follow up and everything has healed nicely. Over the summer, I was able to resume all my normal activities and a few that I’d given up on due to the pain and discomfort caused by my breasts. I’ve been able to start running again with no pain- and I can breathe! No more triple sports bras, no more rashes. I’ve also been able to comfortably go back to the gym and weight lift as well as participate in aerobics classes. The decision to have this surgery has been one of the best I’ve ever made. At 60 years old, I am doing things I haven’t been able to in years and as a result, feel much more energetic. I can’t thank Dr. Lin and his staff enough for seeing me through this journey and helping me achieve such amazing results!

Dr. Lin and his staff took such great care of me throughout the process, from exploring my options to supporting me in the weeks and months post surgery. My recovery was smooth (even easier than I anticipated) and without complication–I attribute much of this to Dr. Lin’s brilliant quality of work. My breathing is night-and-day better; even though my breathing was decent prior to my septoplasty, it has improved beyond what I imagined, greatly affecting my quality of life. The cosmetic adjustments improved the general “look” of my nose while maintaining a very natural appearance, which was important to me. Dr. Lin has been helpful in talking through the relationship between cosmetic adjustments and the physical integrity of the nasal structure. As my swelling decreases, I am also reassured in the knowledge that follow-up meetings with Dr. Lin will help us assess whether or not I wish to make any further adjustments; his assurance in being a perfectionist and his wanting me to be thrilled by the end product gives me comfort in knowing that our journey will continue until I am completely satisfied with the appearance of my nose! At six months, my recovery has been incredible. At the four-month-post-op mark, I felt as if my nose had been this way all along; things have settled nicely and the improvement in the quality of my breathing has been tremendous. (No more mornings waking up congested!)

Had a Septoplasty with Dr.Lin and helped improve my breathing so much! My sleep quality has gone up after he corrected my deviated septum. Highly recommend for anyone who is looking to get a septoplasty.

Had a great experience with Dr. Lin and his team. They were very helpful and guide me through the process and still are. If I had questions I was available to talk to the nurses and they also were helpful. My shoulder, and back pain are gone.

I had considered a neck lift on and off for 10 years before deciding to move forward with it at age 68. By this point, I had a definite dewlap, complete with a pale area of skin on my neck where I never tanned because of the loose folds of skin draping over my lower neck. Despite concerns that I would heal too slowly due to my age, I finally decided to go ahead with a neck lift. I did a lot of research into the process and I selected Dr. Lin at Beth Israel in Boston for several reasons. It was clear from his website that he is a very careful surgeon who prioritizes safety and aims for a natural looking outcome – one where my face and neck would look rejuvenated but still like it belonged to the rest of my body. He has many years of experience at Beth Israel Hospital, which is a respected teaching hospital in an area known for great hospitals. This surgery was a financial stretch for me, and I can’t afford a “revision” surgery, so it was important to me that I make that right choice going in. When I met with Dr. Lin, he made sure to fully disclose all the possible risks and to describe realistic outcomes, which made me feel that I could trust him – he talked to me like a partner rather than a salesman. We decided to go ahead with a combination neck lift and lower facelift, as I had also started to develop some jowls and wrinkling around my chin. The surgery went well, and my recovery is going great. The first couple of weeks were sometimes uncomfortable, but never painful. It was obvious from the first week that there was a huge difference in my jawline. By 4 weeks out, when I took off the chin wrap, I had the profile I’d been hoping for! There are still small lumps and bumps on the underside of my jaw – noticeable mostly only to me – but it’s clear that these are slowly resolving and I have every expectation that they’ll be completely gone in a matter of months. I love my new neck and jaw, it’s exactly what I’d been hoping for! I am very, very satisfied with my decision to do this surgery and with my choice of surgeon. Dr. Lin has been kind, gentle, and approachable throughout the process. He and his staff have always taken plenty of time to answer my questions and concerns. I especially liked that he called me the night before my surgery just to check in on how I was doing. Photos are 6 weeks post surgery, still some minor swelling, more healing to come.
