The reason I want to write you this card is to thank you for all you’ve done for me, during this journey in my life. But now that I’ve started to write about my gratitude, I realize that I can’t really think of words that are sufficient to convey my thankfulness. This time has been so scary for me, and your compassion and kindness toward me has been so reassuring and soothing. I can’t even tell you how much it’s meant to me. The patience and good humor you displayed in reading my letters prior to my surgery….Obviously, I have control issues! Even though I’m the patient, and you are the doctor, you always make me feel that I’m part of the team. I’m sure that in this career of yours you have come to grasp an understanding of what a woman’s breasts can mean to her; they are a somewhat sacred part of her body and self. I don’t think I even understood this until I was faced with having mine removed, due to cancer. The option of reconstruction has been one beacon of hope; the only lighthouse guiding me to a port, while I weather this storm. It’s been rough, but to carry the metaphor forward, my ship is strong, and I thank God for your light! I know I’ll be stronger at the end of all this. But what would I have done without you and your staff? I don’t know. Considering I’m having my hysterectomy next week it’s been one assault after another on my womanhood! Because of you, I know I can look forward to a future, where I’ll be having some sense of my female identity restored to me. And someday this crisis will be over, and I can help others who face the same kind of storms.
I just want you to know how pleased I am with the results of my surgery you performed in June. The results far exceed my expectations, even while I’m healing! Not only are you extremely professional, but you are caring and reassuring. I had given up hope that I would be “normal” again after the birth of my second child. You have given me a new lease on life and have restored my confidence. Your staff is wonderful and helped to add to my positive experience. Thank you again!

Dr. Lin performed a septorhinoplasty and I am about a month and a half post operation. I am so happy with the results, cosmetically and functionally. I cannot recommend him enough. His team was amazing and the surgery went so smoothly. Thank you, Dr. Lin!! update at 6 mo post op: so happy with my results. Dr. Lin has been amazing through the whole process! 1 year post op: loving my results. healed perfectly and felt supported by the team throughout the whole process.

Doctor Lin was very informative throughout the whole process, he called night before surgery to check on how I was doing. He and his team made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. I would highly recommend him. 6 month update, recovery has gone great no issues. The surgery has turned out exactly how I had hoped it would. He has always been available by phone when any questions have arised. Days before the surgery I was very nervous, Doctor Lin and his team made me feel comfortable and confident, If I had to do the surgery all over again I would choose Doctor Lin again.
I have a connective tissue disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, and had had two prior nose surgeries performed in New York that left me with an untreated deviated septum and a crooked, projected nose that made me unhappy. After a lot of research and several consults with different doctors, I decided to pursue surgery with Dr. Lin. I couldn’t be happier with my results! I can finally breathe, and even after being just six weeks post-op, I am so happy with the appearance of my nose. I feel like I still look like me, but now the new and improved version! When I came to Dr. Lin I expressed that I was nervous about having had two prior surgeries that yielded unwanted results, and that I wanted things to go well this time. I brought in pictures of myself that I had modified using an app, to show him what I wanted my nose to look like, even brought in a reversal mirror (mirror that shows you what you look like to other people–he appreciated the mirror lol), and he always took the time to go over all of my questions for as long as I needed, whether it be for an in-person or telephone appointment. The night before my surgery he even called me to see how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had. And right before I went into the operating room he was so reassuring and soothing and made sure to review one last time what the surgical plan was. Dr. Lin is brilliant, an artist, a class act, and I can’t recommend him enough! Even my stepson plans to see him at the beginning of next year for correction of a deviated septum. Last but not least, his office and clinical team are top notch and the process of scheduling appointments, payment, post-op care and receiving assistance via the nurse’s line, were handled so efficiently. Everyone was so kind. I wish all of my medical care and prior surgeries were handled this way. Dr. Lin and his team are the best! I am so happy with how everything turned out. Thank you, thank you, thank you! — Update 11/12/2024: One year post-op from my septorhinoplasty with Dr. Lin, I am thrilled to report that my satisfaction with the results continues to increase. Each month, I appreciate the functional and aesthetic improvements more and more. Despite my challenges with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and two previous unsuccessful surgeries, Dr. Lin’s expertise has transformed my experience. I can breathe easily and feel confident in my appearance, which feels like a true enhancement of my natural self. I also greatly appreciate the time Dr. Lin spends during my check-up appointments, where he answers all of my questions thoroughly and provides valuable insights about my progress. His meticulous care and artistic vision truly set him apart, and his team provided exceptional support throughout the process. Seamless process from start to finish. Every team member that I came across made me feel comfortable and listened to. Surgery was quick and I am thrilled with the outcome. I no longer have upper back, shoulder and neck pain. My only regret is being so scared to start the process. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

My experience at BIMDC with Dr. Lin has been extremely amazing throughout my procedure. I had a breast reduction in late January and every step of the way has been super informative and helpful. I immediately felt shoulder and back relief post-op and was able to be back at my hands-on job 6 weeks after surgery. I work in a facility where I am required to lift up to 40 lbs on the daily and also continuously walk up and down stairs. I was more than comfortable returning thanks to the reassurance and guidance provided. The healing process went by well and I always knew I could reach out for any questions. It was such an amazing experience and I would recommend Dr. Lin to anyone interested. updated 11/2024: with now being 9 months post-op, my overall experience with BIDMC and recovery has been nothing less than perfect. I have healed so well from my procedure and from sharing my experience with other individuals who have gotten a breast reduction, I know that I am very lucky. The care I was provided not only during operation/post-op but through every phone call and office visit has been amazing. Such friendly and kind staff and such a wonderful experience overall.
